Welcome to My Ears are Tired. Let me fill you in on what you’ll find here.
I started blogging in 2006 and my writing has evolved over the years. This is a place where I record what the Lord is doing in my life or the life of my family, I share funny or insightful anecdotes from my children, I may share an occasional recipe or house hold tip. I have also chronicled our adoption story, and once a week (or as often as I can) I do a Week in Review.
I wrestle a lot with blogging. I wonder, ten years, twenty years from now, will we regret having made our lives so public (we being bloggers in general). But writing is therapy. I write to remember this season of our lives and I write to process what the Lord is showing me. I am greatly blessed by my readers and their encouragement.
I do not write every day, though I do at least try to write once a week. If I disappear for a while, it’s because life has gotten busy and I’ll be back because I will need to sort out my thoughts.
I pray that this place is one of encouragement for you. A place where you can laugh with us at the craziness that is life with five girls and identify with us in the challenges of walking the road God is leading each of us down, that one of being conformed into the image of His Son. I pray most of all that whatever I write would be for God’s glory. It is, more than anything, to remember His faithfulness, His goodness through the years, that I keep coming back here, to bring a testimony to my corner of the world that my God never fails.
For His Glory ~
